Three cigales cling to what we imagine to be a sun-warmed wall somewhere in the south of France. Sharp looking in their toile patterns, these are based on one of Liz's ink drawings.
The back of the card notes in brick red type that "In Provence, cicadas are known as porte-bonheurs (good luck charms) and are believed to bring happiness. Traditionally, ceramic cicadas are hung at an aslant outside the main door to the house."
Blank 4.25" x 5.5" notes are printed on heavy white stock from sustainable forests and come with matching white envelope. Sets of eight cards are packaged in a kraft box with clear lid.
